It wouldn’t be a new WorldSBK season without Yamaha rolling out a fresh set of colours — and the 2026 Pata Yamaha World Superbike R1 livery has officially landed. And honestly? It looks proper.
Revealed at the team’s official season launch, the new-look Yamaha keeps everything we love about the brand’s racing DNA, while sharpening things up just enough to remind the rest of the grid that they’re not here to make up numbers 👀
🎨 Evolution, Not Revolution (And That’s a Good Thing)
Yamaha hasn’t gone wild for the sake of it — and that’s exactly why this works.
The iconic blue is still front and centre (as it should be 💙), paired with clean white detailing and bold Pata branding that gives the bike a really purposeful, factory-fresh feel. It’s familiar, confident, and unmistakably Yamaha.
This is the kind of livery that looks fast standing still — which is always a good sign.
🏆 Built Around the R1, Built to Race
At the heart of it all sits the Yamaha R1 WorldSBK machine — a bike that needs no introduction. Aggressive, compact, and endlessly capable, the R1 remains one of the most recognisable superbikes on the planet.
Wrapped in these new colours, it just looks ready. Ready to scrap. Ready to fight. Ready to remind everyone why Yamaha belongs at the sharp end of the championship.
👊 Rider Line-Up: Confidence Meets Hunger
The 2026 season sees Yamaha doubling down on momentum rather than resetting everything — and that’s reflected in the rider line-up.
Andrea Locatelli – the Italian continues with the factory squad after a breakthrough 2025. Locatelli scored his first WorldSBK win last year at Assen, ending a long drought for Yamaha — a result that sent shockwaves through the paddock and fuelled hopes for 2026.
Xavi Vierge – joining Locatelli for this season, Vierge brings valuable experience and fresh momentum from his time in the world championship ranks. It’s a new challenge for the Spaniard but one he’s relishing as the season opener at Phillip Island approaches.
This feels like a garage with unfinished business 💥
🚦 More Than Just New Colours
Let’s be honest — liveries matter.
They set the tone for the season. They tell you whether a team is playing it safe, starting fresh, or quietly confident. And these Pata Yamaha colours scream focus. No gimmicks. No distractions. Just a bike that looks ready to go racing.
With Phillip Island looming and testing underway, it won’t be long before we see whether the performance matches the paint 🎯
One thing’s for sure: Yamaha has turned up looking the part.
