Apple CarPlay on Your Motorcycle? I Test the Carpuride W702S – Plus 30% Off!
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and tyre pressure monitoring on almost any motorcycle. Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? But is it actually worth having?
Modern motorcycles are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with huge TFT displays, Bluetooth connectivity and integrated navigation. But what if your bike doesn't have any of that? Or, like me, you're frustrated that even expensive motorcycles don't always offer the connectivity you'd expect?
That's where Carpuride comes in.
I've been testing the Carpuride W702S with TPMS tyre pressure monitoring on Honda's new CB1000GT to see whether this aftermarket touchscreen is a genuinely useful upgrade or just another gadget to clutter up your handlebars.
What Does It Actually Do?
The Carpuride brings smartphone connectivity to your motorcycle without needing to replace the bike's existing dashboard.
Among its features are:
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – access compatible navigation, music and communication apps.
TPMS tyre pressure monitoring – keep an eye on your tyre pressures through the optional sensor kit.
7-inch touchscreen – a dedicated display designed for motorcycle use.
Weather-resistant construction – built to cope with the conditions motorcyclists encounter.
Bluetooth connectivity – designed to work alongside compatible headsets and smartphones.
It's an appealing proposition, particularly for riders with older motorcycles or those who don't want to mount an expensive smartphone on their handlebars.
Is It Worth the Money?
That's the question I wanted to answer.
Rather than simply unboxing it and reading through a specification sheet, I've fitted the Carpuride to the Honda CB1000GT to see how the system works on an actual motorcycle.
How easy is it to use? Does it integrate neatly into the cockpit? And are the additional tyre pressure sensors a worthwhile extra?
I've covered the system in my latest Get Ben Riding video review, including a closer look at its features, installation and usability.

Would You Fit One?
Personally, I think there's an interesting debate here. Are systems like this making motorcycle ownership more convenient, or are we gradually turning our bikes into two-wheeled cars with increasingly complicated dashboards?
I'd love to hear what you think.
Watch the review, leave a comment and let me know whether you'd fit one to your motorcycle.
