Exciting plans for 2026 at GBR

2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Get Ben Riding — both on the website and the YouTube channel. This year is about going deeper than quick reviews and leaning into stories, comparisons, and the experiences that make motorcycling what it is.

Here’s an overview of what I’ve got planned.

1999 vs 2025 Honda Fireblade – And a Giveaway

One of the headline projects for the year is a cinematic comparison between a 1999 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade and the 2025 Fireblade.

Rather than jumping straight into the comparison, I’ll be documenting the full journey — shopping for the 1999 bike, buying it, fixing it properly, and riding it — before putting it head-to-head with the modern machine. The aim isn’t just to compare performance, but to explore how superbikes have evolved and what’s been gained (and lost) along the way.

To top it off, the 1999 Fireblade will be given away, with the winner drawn live on 1st March. It’s a way of giving something back to the community while funding ambitious, high-effort content properly.

Ride 6 – Feature Video Before Launch

February also brings the launch of Ride 6, and I’ll be covering it with a dedicated feature video going live five days before release, on the 12th of February.

Rather than a quick first-look, this will focus on how the series has evolved, how it feels to play as a biker, and whether Ride 6 genuinely raises the bar for motorcycle games.

MotoGP on the Big Screen – Idolos 'Idols'

I’ll also be reviewing the new MotoGP-related film Idilos, which features the Moto2 CFMOTO team and launches in February.

It’s great to see motorcycle racing getting more cinematic attention, and I’m looking forward to digging into how well the film represents the sport, the paddock, and the pressures riders face behind the scenes.

Racing Season Is Back

The start of the racing season is always a marker in the calendar, and 2026 kicks off properly with **World Superbike Championship racing in Australia on 20th February.

Expect race previews, reaction content, and perspective pieces rather than lap-by-lap analysis — focused on what the results mean for the season ahead.

Bikes I’m Excited About in 2026

There are plenty of new and updated bikes on my radar this year, including:

  • Honda CB1000GT

  • BMW F450GS

  • CFMOTO 675SR

  • Triumph Tiger 900 Sport

Some of these I’m hoping to ride, others I’m simply excited to see how they land in the real world — not just on spec sheets.

Real-World Riding & Events

Away from screens and spec lists, 2026 is also about getting out and experiencing motorcycle culture properly.

I’m looking forward to visiting Jack's Café, which has recently reopened after a long closure and remains an important spot for UK bikers.

I’ll also be attending the Adventure Bike Rider Festival (ABR Festival) this year — a brilliant event that brings together riders, brands, and genuine adventure stories in one place.

Looking Ahead

This year is about fewer videos, done better, with more context, more honesty, and more connection to the people watching. Whether it’s a 25-year Fireblade comparison, a game launch, a race weekend, or a café stop, the goal stays the same: content that feels real, considered, and worth your time.

If you’re here early — you’re part of it.
