Aprilia RS-GP MotoGP 2026
MotoGP Bikes look more like they can fly each year.

The covers are off the new Aprilia RS-GP, and heading into 2026 there’s a real sense that Aprilia Racing are no longer playing the role of plucky underdog.

Last season didn’t start brilliantly. Aprilia looked on the back foot early doors, struggling to find consistency while Ducati did what Ducati do best — overwhelm the grid with strength in numbers.

But as the season went on, something changed.

Aprilia built momentum, race by race, and by the second half of the year they were the only manufacturer genuinely taking the fight to Ducati. Not talking about it. Not hinting at it. Actually doing it.

Bez led the charge — and that surprised me 👀

What did surprise me, though, was who led that fight.

It wasn’t the reigning champion Jorge Martín — it was Marco Bezzecchi.

Bez stepped up in a big way. He looked confident, aggressive, and increasingly comfortable as the Aprilia RS-GP 2026 MotofGP came alive. When Aprilia needed results, he delivered.

In fairness, a lot of that came down to circumstances. Jorge’s season was repeatedly interrupted by injuries, and you could see how hard it is to build rhythm in MotoGP when your body just won’t give you a clean run.

That opened the door — and Bez walked straight through it.

Jorge Martín: bounce back required 💪

I still believe Jorge Martín is absolutely central to Aprilia’s long-term ambitions.

When he’s fit, focused, and firing, he’s one of the most formidable riders on the grid. But MotoGP doesn’t wait for anyone, and repeated injuries have a habit of stalling momentum just when you need it most.

For me, 2026 is about resetting the narrative:

  • A full pre-season

  • A bike that’s already competitive

  • And a chance to hit the ground running rather than chasing form

If Jorge can stay healthy, I fully expect him to reassert himself — not just as Aprilia’s lead rider, but as a genuine title contender again.

Aprilia’s biggest opportunity yet 🚀

What excites me most about Aprilia right now is timing.

They’ve proven they can develop a bike across a season. They’ve proven they can beat Ducati on certain weekends. And they’ve proven they’re not afraid to be aggressive with direction.

Now comes the hard part: starting strong.

I’m really hoping that in 2026 Aprilia hit the ground figuratively from the off — not spending half a season finding answers, but turning up ready to fight from round one.

If they do that, and if Martín stays fit, Aprilia could finally turn “best of the rest” into something far more serious 👀🔥

This launch feels less like a reveal……and more like a statement.

Let’s see if they can back it up 🏍️💥
